This piece was painted following a trip to Coomba Falls, Maidenwell, Queensland. A magnificent beauty spot in the North Burnett Region. The waterhole is surrounded by tall rocky crofts and gum trees that reflect serenely on the surface.
Painted with thick layers of oil paint using a palette knife, the application of paint merges brilliant colours with swift mark making to create textures and marks that pull the viewer in for a closer look and irresistible touch.
