I often take inspiration from my home garden. These beautiful Birds of Paradise have been a favourite for many years and the luscious foliage and bright flowers delight me, and the local birdlife, throughout most of the year. There is often a vase of these magnificent beauties in my studio or on our kitchen table. The vibrant colours and structure of the petals never cease to amaze me.
